Job Description

The Business Unit Controller will have the opportunity to join a truly international business targeting significant growth and expansion (Thailand and South East Asia). He/ She will be reporting to the Managing Director of Thailand office and a dotted line reporting to the Business Controller EMEA & ASIA located at the company's Head Quarters.

Key Responsibilities | Deliverables

  • Responsible for reporting the income statement and balance sheet for the legal entity, to internal and external parties
  • Ensure that monthly, quarterly and yearly reports are correct, complete and on time both IFRS and local package
  • Ensure compliance with the company Financial Manual and local statutory accounting standards
  • Ownership of the finance process in the ERP system and other finance-related software
  • Ensure for IT related compliance with policies and guidelines set by Group IT
  • Responsible for Cash Management, financial assets and liabilities and foreign exchange management (in accordance with the Group Treasury Policies)
  • Ensure that the legal entity is tax compliant (both with local legal requirements and the company tax related policy documents)
  • Manage the audit (EY) process, including corrective actions in response to findings for the legal entity
  • Responsible for implementing, maintaining and monitoring secure Internal Control procedures
  • Prepare and present financial information at board meetings
  • Responsible for implementing a solid collection routine and policy (in accordance with the template in the company Financial Manual) for the legal entity
  • Support and advise the BU Manager in performing business control tasks and being an important speaking partner and adviser for the other managers in the BU, with a core business and customer focus
  • To identify relevant leading business indicators and monitor and present those to BU Manager on a regular basis in order to support management in steering the business
  • Good internal control environment in order to protect the BU's assets and to make sure that financial reporting and accounting matters are in accordance with the the company Financial Manual and local statutory accounting principles
  • Update and monitor Product Cost (Operations Units)
  • Manage HR function to comply with HR Global Policy and Thai Labour Law
  • Manage the shared services in a multi BA/Ops legal entity

Experience | Skill Requirements

  • Thai nationality
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Possessed Continuing Professional Development license (CPD) is a must (CPA preferable)
  • Experience ERP System or implementation accounting system
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and local tax
  • Knowledge and work experience in Thai statutory of GAAP and IFRS
  • Good organization skill and Management team
  • Willingness and ability to suggest new ideas and process improvements
  • High energy level, proactive and comfortable performing multifaceted initiatives
